Italy

In Italy there are two TMC services:

The CCISS (national traffic information centre), housed at public broadcaster RAI, broadcasts a free public TMC service through the RAI FM network on the Radio1 frequency.  This service principally covers major routes in the North of the country, especially the West - East corridor. RAI has been broadcasting TMC in the North of Italy since 1998.

A commercial (fully encrypted) TMC service at national level is available since May 2007 on the broadcast of RTL 102.5 (102.50 MHz), operated by Infoblu. This service has 80% geographical coverage and more than 90% (and increasing) coverage of traffic flow.
