TMC Approved as Standard for Traffic Information in China

The Chinese National ITS Standardisation Committee (Chinese equivalent of CEN / ISO) has approved standards for providing traffic information services based on the RDS-TMC method.

RDS-TMC was promoted in China by the DYNASTY project, funded by the European Commission, coordinated by ERTICO and supported by the TMC Forum.

The decision underlines TMC's worldwide scope alongside recent service implementations in the USA and Australia, and provides an important boost for the uptake of European-originated ITS standards in the potentially huge Chinese market.
